DLC and other micro transactions have been the topic of much debate recently. While many people argue that developers should include all content of a game for the original asking price, HD8bit.com suggests this practice is needed in order to keep the price point around $60. Games cost more then ever to make, and the developers will make back that money via selling added content OR raising the price point of the games. Developers are trusting gamers to buy the content they like, rather then simply raising the price of the product like most other businesses would do.
